Quote Me is the request-a-quote service: we price your exact parcel and destination live, which usually beats a fixed rate table, and there’s no handling fee — you pay just the postage.
The Steps
- Open My Shipments → New in the portal (or hit “Ship” right from a package on your packages page).
- Pick the package(s). Selecting several? They’re automatically consolidated into one shipment — one box, one rate, one label.
- Choose “Quote me.”
- Enter the destination — your home, a friend, a hotel, or back to the sender.
- Add the details — for international destinations, a short customs description and value; optional insurance if you want the contents covered.
- Review and submit.
We then measure and weigh the actual shipment and send you real carrier quotes. Nothing ships and nothing is charged until you approve a quote — you pick the option you like from your shipment’s page, it’s charged to your balance, and we pack and dispatch it.
In a hurry? For US-domestic destinations you can tick the “just book the cheapest rate” preference and skip the approval round-trip.
What It Costs
- Postage — the live carrier rate you approve.
- Consolidation — combining multiple packages into one shipment costs from $7.50, and typically saves far more than that in postage; boxes, tape, and packing materials are included.
- That’s it — no handling fee for quoted shipments.
