Ordered something before you had an In Out Parcel account? It’ll still get to you — here’s the best order to do things, and what to do if you’re already mid-shipment.
The Best Order: Register First
Registering is free and takes just a couple of minutes. Do it before you place an order, and your Customer ID goes straight onto the shipping label — see how to address your packages. With the ID on the label, matching is automatic and your package is logged and ready the same day it arrives.
Already Shipped Without an Account?
No problem — the package still arrives, it just waits unmatched until it’s linked to you. Here’s how to fix it:
- Register for a free account if you haven’t already.
- File a trace request with the tracking number for the package.
- Our team matches it to your new account by hand. This can add an extra business day compared to a package that arrived with a Customer ID already on it.
Can You Pick Up Before You’re Verified?
Yes — you’re welcome to collect your very first package while you get set up. After that first pickup, completing USPS Form 1583 is required to keep using self-serve pickup. It only takes a few minutes: verify in person for free or verify online by video.
